Educational Scholarship at The Minerva Institute

Your purchase of The Sacred Science of Sound Online Event – a 21 day virtual exploration into the healing power of Music, Sound Vibration and Energy Medicine – supports The Minerva Institute, a 501(c)iii nonprofit that offers young people a unique degree program of education and service.

We have created The Dylan Sage Scholarship at the Minerva Schools at Keck Graduate Institute in San Francisco, an innovative new four-year college that offers bachelors and master’s degrees. Minerva’s mission is to nurture critical wisdom for the sake of the world; to teach practical knowledge, critical thinking and lifelong learning habits; and to teach students to use their education to make the world a better place.

Minerva has been instrumental in creating a successful online platform of teaching at the university level. One unique feature of their program is that after spending the freshman year in San Francisco, the students move together to a different world city every semester, such as Berlin, Buenos Aires, Seoul, London, and Taipei.

Minerva offers admission to any student who meets the admissions criteria regardless of the student’s financial background, and tuition is capped at $13,950/year, a fraction of what private universities charge. The majority of the students are on financial aid and come from over 60 countries. The school is operated by a 501(c)iii nonprofit, and every dollar raised goes straight to covering tuition and housing fees for students — no money from this purchase of our series will go for overhead or administration.

The young people who attend Minerva are an astonishing group of future leaders, innovators, public policy makers and game changers, who have a desire to devote themselves to being both good scholars and good citizens.

A fabulous example of service as an essential part of the Minerva education is the Class of 2019 that studied in Berlin in 2017, one year after Germany enacted its open-door migrant policy. Many of these immigrants needed to receive an education to allow them to integrate with German society, but they did not have the qualifications to attend German universities. As preparatory steps, an NGO compiled a list of online courses they could take to help them begin studying for university degrees, but many of the immigrants had trouble with them. A group of Minerva students created their own online course on how these immigrants can succeed in online courses. Now over 2000 people per year take this course, enabling them to become familiar with the format and learn how to successfully navigate a digital student experience before taking on more complex subject matter. Jeralyn Glass has been a part of the ceremonies for the first two graduating classes 2019 and 2020 and has been a professor for 14 years. Minerva is truly exceptional.

Cancer Support Community

As the largest professionally led nonprofit network of cancer support worldwide, The Cancer Support Community has an important mission: ‘To ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community – So that no one faces cancer alone.’

Professor Jeralyn Glass has been offering her popular meditation with Crystal Alchemy Singing bowls for the past 5 years at the Cancer Support Community in Redondo Beach, California where over 200 programs a month are offered completely free of charge to patients and their loved ones. Sound Healing is currently one of the most requested therapies. In addition to gifting her own meditation circles, Jeralyn created a program of Sound and Energy Medicine where the graduates of The Sacred Science of Sound Crystal Alchemy Trainings offer sound baths under her direction. Jeralyn is a Certified Energy Codes Master Trainer and also created an Energy Codes Monthly Class for The Cancer Support Community. (Currently online only due to COVID-19)

“As the Program Director at the Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach, I frequently hear from our participants about how one of our classes has impacted them… but nothing as dynamic and passionate as the feedback I hear about Jeralyn’s Crystal Alchemy Sound Bowls Class. Our participants tell me it’s “magical” and “transformative”. They rave about how “they are pain free for that hour”, “that they can finally concentrate afterward”, and “that all their anxiety and stress floats away”. Jeralyn’s class is so popular that there is always a waiting list because it fills up faster than any class we offer. Our participants absolutely love this class for the calming reprieve and relief it brings to cancer.”
